So...
...what have I been up to lately? I know that my legions of adoring readers are dying to know, so I'm here to tell both of them.
For starters, I think I reached a new low, or maybe a new high, depending on how you look at it (I squint and look slightly to the left.) I got drunk at a baby shower. No, don't bother rereading that last sentence. I got drunk at a baby shower. On a scale of one to awesome, it was rad. I didn't set out to get drunk (yes I did. Who the hell am I kidding?) but it just happened. I accidentally drank two or nine beers over the course of the shower, mainly with the other guys in the garage, while the womenfolk were inside, doing womanly things like cooking and menstruating.
Since it was hot out there, I needed cold beer to help regulate my body temperature and alleviate my thirst. Trust me, I'm a scientist. Well, not really, but my roommate is. Well, technically, he's a science teacher. Still, I have two doctors on speed dial in my phone, which makes me a borderline medical professional (I can mentally picture the reaction of both of these individuals to that last sentence. One would high five me and hand me a beer, the other would shake her head disapprovingly and hand me a beer.)
In addition to that, I've been working my ass off, both day and night. I'm back in the thick of things at The Village Idiot, because I apparently like to torture myself by not sleeping any, at all, ever. What does this mean for Spork Nation, you may ask? A triumphant return of The Idiot Speaks. In fact, I have one half-written now, just waiting on some additional material to flesh it out a bit.
Then, to top it all off, I'm participating in theCDP's Mix-Tape Trade. I love the theme, it's all cover songs, which is going to be a lot of fun. My list is currently hovering around 26 songs, which I need to trim down in order to make it fit on a CD. I'm also working on the cover art and liner notes.
Well, that's what I've been up to, what about you kids? Let me know in the comments section, and make sure to Wang Chung tonight.
JT out.

...while the womenfolk were inside, doing womanly things like cooking and menstruating.
That pretty much sums up my entire life as of yet. I plan to stop menstruating someday though.
My mix tape is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I decided to spare my listener the Cat Power, Wing, Richard Cheese, and Me First and the Gimme Gimmies. It's strictly by artists who don't normally do covers. I have roughly an hour of material right now.
