Long story short on the hiatus. Lightning and thunder go boom, computer goes fizz. Guy who is supposed to fix my computer really cheaply takes 4 weeks to tell me it's my motherboard, it would be better to buy a new system (what sucks is that I thought it was the motherboard from day one and he told me it was not.) Good friend has kick ass system he is willing to part with for $300. After agreeing to meet on Tuesday and exchange system for American currency, said friend immediately stops taking my phone calls and responding to text messages. I still have no computer to call my own, and it's frustrating.

I am on a strict budget, and have only allocated $300 towards "misc." so there is no hope for me with a new system from any of the big box stores, and I have enough system requirements that a barebones system isn't an option. Feel free to leave me suggestions on this in the comments section.

Anyway, I've had alot of people emailing me, leaving comments, and sending me flowers begging me to write again, so here I am, using my roommate's computer which he has so generously offered me access to, with the requirement that I wear pants. I'm wearing a skirt right now, so it's slightly in violation, but I feel like I am obeying the spirit, if not the letter, of the law.

I have a lot to write about, but not much time today. Look for a full-length update on Monday, complete with kittens wearing scuba masks and blueprints of the Vatican.
